Physical demands
In considering cosmetology as a career it must be understood that it is a physically demanding occupation. With the exception of manicuring, pedicuring, facials, nail care and makeup application, most services performed by the cosmetologist are done while standing. Persons with foot or back problems would be well advised to seek an area of cosmetology that will allow them to be seated while working with clients.
Safety recommendations
Shoes with an arch support and non-skid soles are recommended for the safety and well being of all students. As a variety of chemicals are used in the course of training, persons with known allergies to chemicals are advised to consult with their physician before enrolling. You will be taught how to handle and dispose of chemicals safely while attending school.
Security
Campus security has an excellent record of no crimes or criminal occurrences being reported on the campus of American College of Hair Design, 125 Winchester Drive, Sedalia Missouri.
